In the province of Valladolid , just ten minutes from the capital, we can find Aldamayor Golf, a complex which was opened just a year ago. Its installations are brand new and of the highest quality. This golf course has 9 holes Par 27, designed for expert players and for those who are beginning this kind of sport. The training golf course has a total length of 400 metres, with 50 posts distributed in two positions, of which 14 are covered. A putting green with bunkers complete the area set aside for training. The complex also offers a beautiful natural environment and is close to the Castilian capital, which is well worth a visit. This complex meets all your sports and tourist needs.

Brocantes, crowns and vintage lace patterns

Photo of a book of old patterns for lace embroidery, found for ten euros at a market bookseller’s stall. It is tied with teal silk shantung ribbon and is from Succursale at 25 Faubourg Saint-Honore, Paris.

If you are in Paris beginning Friday, September 28 through October 7, you might be interested in attending the 75th Foire Nationale aux Antiquites, a la Brocante et aux Jambons at Ile de Chatou. It’s one of the best brocantes in France and not to be missed, in my opinion. So despite my miserable cold, I’ll be there when the doors open at 10 a.m. Friday, along with Di of Designers’ Block UK and Rel of Under the Microscope and his charming wife Diane.

Paris has some of the best chocolate shops in the world and I can sniff out a new one faster than a drug-sniffing German Shepard can find a kilo of cocaine at Charles de Gaulle airport.

I received a hot new lead the other day and sniffed my way to Galler, a spanking brand-new chocolate shop only open two days so far in the Marais.

What Do You Get For the Girl Who?s Got Everything?

I have no idea. But I can tell you what really would impress ME for MY birthday- A weekend in Prague.

Oh wait a minute- I ALREADY GOT THAT!! That’s right, mon homme gave me a mega-birthday surprise last week and took me to Prague, or Praha, as we like to call it- for the week-end. It’s a city that I have been wanting to visit since forever, and it was everything that I dreamed it would be- and more! There is so much beauty, so much history…Plus, the shopping is great, their beer is super-sized, AND they like a good gravy. Oh, and did I mention that it’s 100% acceptable to eat chicken wings for breakfast there? My kinda town….
