You’ve seen on both my blog and Di’s (Designers’ Block UK) examples of the diverse selection of antiques and collectibles that can be found at the twice-annual brocante and ham fair at Chatou, just west of Paris. But did you know the brocante is always hosted on a small island next to the Seine? If you look closely, to the left of the photo, you can see traces of vendors’ booths. To walk to and from the town of Chatou, you cross the bridge, on which these lovely flowers are suspended.

En route to the RER train station at Chatou Croissy, you can stop for a spin on the carousel. Want to ask the Genie for a ride on his magic carpet? Where would you like to go today? I’m thinking Peru - what about you?
