The Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Cleveland (CVB) announced today that it is changing its marketing moniker and adopting a more energetic icon-based logo. Positively Cleveland is designed to fit in with the region’s Cleveland Plus branding initiative, by shortening the organization’s name and expressing more of the city’s vitality and spirit.
“We are a marketing organization that sells the city to business and leisure travelers,” explains Dennis Roche, President of Positively Cleveland. “Our messaging is upbeat and it shares what is unique, genuine and authentic about our city . . . what makes Cleveland stand out from other destinations.”

Travel to Hawaii is ramping up after recent rains have slowed bookings. The weather has cleared and sunshine has returned to the Islands!
Recently John Monahan, President and CEO of the Hawai’i Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) stated “We’re enjoying blue skies and the warm sunny climate that everyone expects when coming to Hawai’i.”[1]
Repeat travelers to Hawaii are on the rise, with more than 62% of visitors enjoying the sun and sand more than once. Today’s travelers are also more likely to be independent, and rely less on group and package tours. In 2000 just over 49% of travelers were independent explorers, while in 2005 that number rose to nearly 54%.[2]

Tim Kernutt recently discovered that there is a reason that Buenos Aires is renowned as one of the prime partying destinations in the world, much to the shock of his body clock. If you ask any well-traveled young person in the world what their favourite city in the world is to party until dawn, Buenos Aires more often than not rates a mention. And, as I discovered, more impressive than the clubs and bars of Buenos Aires is the staying power of the local Porte?os.
