Miami Beach is fast becoming one of the top vacation destinations for families andtravelersalike. Miami Beach offers sun, fun and a variety of activities to choose from. With a plethora of hotel options how does one pick the perfect Miami Beach hotel? A good way to choose a hotel is by the amenities t
hat the hotel has to offer. One of the biggest disappointments that I have encountered is getting to a hotel and expecting a service that the hotel does not offer. With all the travel tools that are available on the web, you can do a little research before you go to make sure you get what you want. Listed below are what I feel are the top 5 amenities that a hotel can offer to you and your family to make your accommodation choice perfect for you.

This is the third in a series of four pieces by Leau Phillips at the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque.
You must be on the edge of your seats waiting to find out the scoop about angry hot glass lady. But before I give you the rundown of the third day of the glorious New Mexico State Fair booth saga, please indulge me while I rant.
These things ARE NOT art - in my humble but adequate opinion:

In 1912 a visionary named Franz Riesfeldt had an idea. Riesfeldt, a tailor with nothing but an understanding of fabric, a dream and perhaps too much time on his hands, constructed a suit that would allow him to fly. All he needed was a point high enough for him to jump. Enter the Eiffel Tower.
As you can imagine, the city was abuzz with excitement. This was, after all, before cable television and the internet so the people were understandable hungry for quality entertainment. As with most innovation, it was a plan so simple that no one had thought of it before and, if they had, were probably put off by the whole

Last year I was designing an event for this couple from Texas who wanted to have a country rock band as entertainment. That’s how I discovered that France has a big thing for American Country & Western culture! WHO KNEW? There are tons of French country bands around with such names as Youpi Whaou or Les Prairie Dogs or Texas Sidestep- these bands have HUGE followings! At the forefront of it all is an email ‘zine called American Leisure Mag, which updates you on “All Things Country” going on in France. The latest issue has a big ole Budweiser Ad front and center (bien sur!), a video highlight of a Country Line Dance Compilation CD, the Texas Music Chart, and info on their annual Festival des Loisirs Am?ricains 2007 -Three Days in America, which is scheduled to take place the 28th-30th of September just outside of Paris. The Festivals’ website boasts Line Dancing competitions, an Indian Village, Marching Band, Electronic Bull, an American Leisure Salon (with over 150 American products for sale), an expo of American cars, trucks and Harley Davidsons…Oo! There will also be a D?ner Spectacle called Elvis In Las Vegas with a musical fireworks show called “Love Me Tender”. Yee HAW!! Wars my hat??

3 rooms at 5 Moussy are three fabulous apartments that designer extradonaire Azzedine Alaia rents out next door to his atelier in the Marais. The spacious, sleek, and gorgeous apartments look like they jumped off the pages of wallpaper magazine. They measure 100 square meters (about 1100 square feet) and there is a one-bedroom apartment and 2 two-bedroom apartments.

Ask anybody and the typical answer you will get is that there is nothing in Alabama that is of special interest to the tourist. Yet tourism happens to be big business in the state and is, in fact, the state’s biggest industry, generating well over $10 billion in revenue each year.
The key to Alabama’s attractiveness as a tourist destination is above all its rural and agricultural orientation punched with great hospitality, delectable cuisine, top notch Alabama motels, hotels andGulf Coast resorts, and a globally well-known events calendar with many festivals and performances thrown in.
