It may seem strange to write about shower curtains, but ask any NYLON (New York??? Londoner) and this will be a topic close to their heart. They will probably go off on a rant about how impossible it is to find a shower curtain in theUK-the whole concept of a shower liner plus a separate curtain just hasn???t caught on here. This shower curtain angst was the inspiration behind Balineum, founded by ex-New Yorker Sarah Watson. Balineum, the Latin word for bathhouse, sells a small but lovely selection of shower curtains online (the website looks a lot like Restoration Hardware- in a good way). We like the look of Alison, with its hotel-like border, andVirginia, pictured, with a thick linen stripe. At ??75 and ??100, they aren???t cheap, but there???s nothing else like it in theUK. A range of matching towels will soon be launched- and how about some towel rails and classic glass shelves, please? To order by phone, call +44 207 487 5826.

Wine does not just limit itself to delighting the palate, it is now being considered to be more than a gastronomic accompaniment and has become a therapy for one?s health. It is the latest novelty in cosmetics; it helps you relax, makes you look younger, and moisturises the skin. The inventors of wine therapy centres were the French, Mathilde Cathiard and Bertrand Thomas, who opened the first establishment dedicated to this speciality near Bordeaux. However, it was in Italy where these so-called beauty farms rapidly grew in number, as the therapy treatments were applied in the same places where the grapes were produced.

The Romantik Hotel Villa Pagoda is located in Nervi, Italy just outside of Genoa. The hotel is in a renovated 200 year old villa. I lived in Nervi as a child and was eager to stay there on one of my trips to Italy. There are not many hotels located in Nervi so I was excited when I found the Hotel Villa Pagoda.
I recently stayed there with two other friends. We rented a small suite with 2 single beds and a small sitting area that had a day bed. We also had a large bathroom that was clean and well-stocked with toiletries. The shower was comfortable but not as large as you would find in hotels in the US.

If the pigeons have all dropped dead at Jardin de Luxembourg, we may have found the cause.
Victoria Beckham took a stroll in our neighborhood park yesterday, wearing THAT.

Followed by paparazzi, bodyguards, and the photo crew that was directing the fashion shoot for American Elle, Victoria looked like a rare bird spawned from the depths of hell as she disturbed the sleepy tranquility of the jardins.

Travel to Hawaii is ramping up after recent rains have slowed bookings. The weather has cleared and sunshine has returned to the Islands!
Recently John Monahan, President and CEO of the Hawai’i Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) stated “We’re enjoying blue skies and the warm sunny climate that everyone expects when coming to Hawai’i.”[1]
Repeat travelers to Hawaii are on the rise, with more than 62% of visitors enjoying the sun and sand more than once. Today’s travelers are also more likely to be independent, and rely less on group and package tours. In 2000 just over 49% of travelers were independent explorers, while in 2005 that number rose to nearly 54%.[2]

The sea provides many healing advantages, not only applicable to physical problems, such as rheumatism, lung diseases or blood circulation, but it also helps to aliviate psychological ailments, such as stress, fatigue, insomnia and depression, among other psychopathologies.
Thalasotherapy is a healing method which is completely natural, since it is based on sea water, seaweed and air. Before applying the sea water, which has been extracted from more than 1,000 metres from the shore, the water is purified and sterilised to ensure the absence of pathogenic agents. That is why it is also applied in beauty treatments, as it improves skin texture, fights against flab, cellulitis and aging of the skin.
