So you’ve been following the Northern Territory (NT) motto for a while now — Not Today, Not Tomorrow, Not Tuesday, Not Thursday. You’re kicking back with some second-rate Australian beers (Fosters anyone?) or expensive imported stuff underneath the palm tree of your choice, and now you reckon the day has arrived to leave Australia

Well this had to be certainly the most interesting temple I visited in Malaysia. The Snake Temple in Bayan Lepas is a temple full of Crotalinae snakes aka Pit Vipers. These snakes have long hollow fangs which will inject you with a proteotoxic venom, this type of venom wont paralyse you but will eat away at you from the inside out. The venom is basically a highly-evolved digestive fluid which will start destroying your cells, blood and muscle tissues

If you thought that both Apple and Nike couldn’t get any bigger, you probably didn’t consider the two of them joining. It makes sense, once you think about the fact that the iPod makes the perfect workout partner, with all it’s different variations and even colors, you could match it to your top, your pants, and even your shoes. After we saw this, we came to the conclusion that Nike is bored, and the next step would be to integrate Nike, Apple, and Ford into some sort of Flinstones car.

On a recent long weekend break to Airlie Beach in Queensland’s stunning Whitsunday Islands, I was forced to consider the notion that there may be a place on earth better than Tropical North Queensland! What a thought! Having lived in Port Douglas for possibly the best 6 months of my life, this area of the world has a special place in my heart. Could The Whitsundays, being so similar, ever live up to the expectations created by Tropical North Queensland?

It’s not Orange because of the color. If you don’t already know, Orange is a large, european based communications company. Working in conjunction with Gotwind.org Orange is working on developing a portable turbine that is powered by the wind, providing juice for your mobile phone. While this project is still in the works, and prototypes are being worked out, the turbine is supposed to be able to mount to the top of a dome-style tent, and with the wind spinning the fan, provide a trickle charge that will charge most phones in about 1-2 hours.
We’re still unsure if these will ever see production, but there are rumors of current negotiations for further ventures between the two organizations.
